Hi adventurers! Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy Servas friends and Young and Family group invites all members to an international summer camp in the spirit of the European Year of Culture 2025, which will be celebrated between Nova Gorica and Gorizia.

More than just a Camp: Breaking Borders, Building Connections

This unique context provides a special opportunity for the camp, fostering cultural exchange and intergenerational connections while promoting a prosocial attitude and a borderless lifestyle.

Camp Location
The activities will take place at Casa Praprot, in Kovk, a small village at 824 meters above sea level, on the edge of the Gora plateau, in the Ajdovščina region, Slovenia, about 40 km from Gorizia.

How to reach us:

Car or Camper: The road is very easy all the way to the house.

Plain: The nearest airport is Trieste Airport (TRS) in Ronchi dei Legionari.

Train: The closest train stations are Gorizia and Nova Gorica.

Bus: On Saturdays and Sundays, there are no buses to Kovk; services are available certainly from/to Gorizia and Nova Gorica. Slovenian website: https://www.nomago.si and Friuli VG (Italy) website: https://tplfvg.it. Note: We will arrange two shuttle transfers from Gorizia/Nova Gorica on arrival and departure days.

The facility offers:

50 bed places (dorm bunk beds), 3 rooms, hostel-style accommodation
Outdoor space for tents (on gravel or grass), assigned based on availability
3 kitchens
A limited number of bathrooms and showers

Teamwork, Shared Spaces & Tents at the Camp:

Teamwork makes the dream work! The kitchen and activities are self-managed and as part of the camp experience, everyone gets a chance to take turns in teams for cooking, cleaning, and organizing.

The camp is designed with shared spaces, meaning we will be in close contact with one another. Privacy inside will be a bit limited, but let’s keep the vibe friendly and considerate to make it a great community experience for everyone.
